Reliance Industries plans to use an "asset light" strategy to "provide end-to-end data solutions for business enterprises, social organizations, educational and health care institutions and Indian consumers," the statement said.
"The RealDVD software would enable massive theft of creative content that would have a direct, negative impact on the delivery of movies, television shows and other entertainment to consumers," the statement reads.
"We shouldn't be giving special rights to corporations at the expense of workers and consumers," the statement reads.
A footnote informs consumers, "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration".
ADDING to the weight of these debts is the fact that consumers' income statements aren't exactly flush right now, thanks to high unemployment and rock-bottom interest rates.
Even if the company was not involved with Kanye's decision to pull downloads, his website's crashing, and the subsequent fulfillment issues, its brand is associated with this release and its name is appearing on consumers' bank statements, due to it serving as Kanye's credit card processor for album downloads.
Wording was tailored to consumers, the statements were randomised, and the questionnaires were anonymous and coded.
He said the consumer agency's statement that almost 70percentt of consumers ended up buying items at rent-to-own stores did not apply to his company, where the proportion was 25 to 30percentt.
No point of sale integration, no mail-in rebates or paper coupons, and discounts appear directly on the consumer's bank statement.
