Clients can bypass the big names and hire consultancies such as Eden McCallum, a British firm that packages teams of experienced independent consultants, or Point B, an American firm that provides only a project manager, letting the client select the team.
She cites a study TiVo Research conducted with A&E Networks, Turner Broadcasting and the consultancy 84.51° and involving 15 consumer packaged-goods brands.
He said the row centred on their directorship of a consultancy company that offers Olympic Games hospitality packages to overseas visitors.
"The company probably has businesses that would like to give them the home delivery opportunity, but they dont want to have to split their packages up between FedEx and UPS," says Satish Jindel, president of transportation consultancy S.J. Consultancy.
