Although for biparental populations linkage maps can be constructed, breeding populations for GS are derived from multiple parents and not well structured for developing genetic maps.
Six of 29 potential founders tested positive for the transgene construct with two successfully breeding and transmitting the transgene to subsequent generations (Fig. 1B).
On this basis, the soybean breeders at the Agriculture Genetics Institute (AGI) of Vietnam have initiated a long-term soybean breeding program to construct and release various drought-tolerant soybean cultivars through conventional breeding and radiation-induced mutagenesis.
But if, as in the current study, we also exclude singleton addition alleles, on the grounds that they are likely to represent sequencing errors, strongly deleterious alleles, or recent mutations occurring in the laboratory during the few rounds of breeding used to construct a haploid or inbred genotype for Drosophila Population Genomics Project sequencing, we are left with only 50.
As with the other interfaces in the GDR, we have used Drupal, the popular Content Management System CMSS), to construct web pages for the breeding database.
The latter is a building constructed of brick and concrete within which is a man-made pond for breeding bullfrogs, or a shed constructed of plastic film that tightly covers a natural pond.
During breeding season this mouse constructs globular nests of grass suspended between vertical stems up to 13 cm above ground; during the rest of the year, nests are located in holes in the ground, beneath haystacks, or in buildings.
American Robins, Yellow Warblers, and Carduelis finches breeding in northern Manitoba constructed heavier nests, tended to have thicker nest-walls, and had wider interior and exterior nest diameters than conspecifics/congenerics breeding in southeastern Ontario (Fig. 3).
Subsequently, phenotypes of individuals were constructed according to Equation 1 and breeding values were estimated (see below).
The niche models were constructed by entering breeding records from the breeding bird survey (accessed at www. pwrc.usgs.gov/bbs) into MAXENT ver 3.2.2.
