This paper studies control problems for discrete-time single-input linear time-invariant plants when controlled over a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) constrained channel.
For this situation, we study three different control architectures: state feedback, output feedback, and output feedback enriched with feedback around the constrained channel.
We explore how the stability, and the best achievable performance, depend on the location of the SNR constrained channel for each architecture.
Since the findings in these papers show that the unit energy constrained channel shortener equalization resulted in better performance, we have used unit energy constraint for the MIMO channel shortening optimization problem under consideration in this paper.
We show that the outer bound for the constrained channel can be achieved by the strategy of noise-forwarding developed for the unconstrained channel.
Our approach allows us to exploit the constrained channel dynamics within a typical satellite-to-user propagation scenario in an urban environment.

Building upon recent results, we show that it is possible to convert analysis and design problems involving digital erasure channels into problems involving two signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) constrained channels in series, one subject to an equality SNR constraint, and the second one subject to an inequality SNR constraint.
Although high-resolution structural data for K2P channels is presently lacking, experimentally constrained K2P channel models suggest that the Trp275 position should be intimately involved in supporting the structure of the selectivity filter (Kollewe et al, 2009).
This paper proposes a framework for combined source-channel coding for a power and bandwidth constrained noisy channel.
We also apply our results to the study of networked control systems where communication takes place over a power constrained erasure channel.
The studies are based on the integration of core analysis, well-logging interpretation, seismic inversion and interpretation constrained by channel architecture.
