For all the PPCS models, systems analyses were used to integrate the plasma physics and technology constraints to produce self-consistent plant parameter sets.
Plants transformed with 35S::miRNA-PCN did not show any consistent whole plant phenotypes in culture, perhaps reflecting that the modest decrease in transcript abundance for PCN and its paralog in these plants, or that loss of PCN function may not result in a strong phenotype.

The best solution for this plight is to develop "diagnostic markers" [ 12]; that is, markers which have marker genotypes consistent with plant trait phenotypes in all of the breeding germplasm in a breeding program.
