The most consistent data were obtained from the antennal RNA sample that represents a pool of RNAs extracted from 100 antennae or 50 individuals (additional file 1).
The Pfam relationships (not shown) derived from these latter data sets are consistent with each other and with those derived from the complete data pool, further corroborating the observed relationships.

Sensitivity analysis by different data pooling methods revealed consistent effect estimates, and publication bias analysis suggested that the risk may be underestimated.
