One of the main characteristics of soils is their high heterogeneity at scales much smaller than those considered above-ground [25].
Several studies into crop wild hybrids have considered above-ground stages (e.g. Hooftman et al., 2007; Vacher et al., 2011; Yang et al., 2011; Cao et al., 2014), but none has included simultaneous measures of seed bank survival.
The second approach utilizes the products of the MODIS_ET (MOD16) data set that is derived from remotely sensed data by mainly considering above-ground land surface processes.
Note that, because this model concerns below-ground interactions, plant growth and root system growth are synonymous; one can consider above-ground growth to be reflected by below-ground growth, with above-ground effects such as shading and carbon limiting neglected (i.e. growth is purely below-ground resource limited).
For example, the proposition, U, considered above is a grounds for doubting h, but h and U could both be true.
Consider an above ground option.
The risky facilities examined in the Bowers study only consider theft at above ground settings (A1 and A2 in Figure 1).

Moreover, for compliance with the WRI GHG protocol, ILCD and ISO 14040/44, any direct land use change occurring in the previous 20 years should be considered for above and below ground biomass and for soil organic matter (differentiated for peat and mineral soil).
