On the basis of the electrolytic system, anodic acyloxylation of organic compounds, which even have considerably high oxidation potentials, was successfully carried out to provide the corresponding acyloxylated products in moderate to excellent yields.
The different mechanism is also proved by the series of dots deposited with a pulse of 0.5 s at increasing voltage (Figure 3c), spot's height is considerably higher if compared to oxidation.
(Scorbaminic acid is obtained electrolytically in a pure form and more easily than by a chemical reaction. In a similar way dehydroascorbic acid can be obtained in a considerably higher yield by anodic oxidation).
Additionally, by analysing the thermodynamics of reduction and oxidation stages, it was revealed that in the temperature range 600 800 °C, the change in Gibbs' free energy (ΔG) is more negative and the equilibrium constant is considerably higher for the reaction of nickel oxidation compared to its reduction (see Table 2).
The relatively high concentrations of these compounds in 3000 μM experiments suggest that compounds with more than two carbon atoms could be important products in glyoxal oxidation at the considerably higher concentrations observed in aerosol water.
In case of toluene conversion by Mro APO, the observed ratio of ring vs. methyl group oxidation of 26:1 is considerably higher than that of Aae APO (2 1; Ullrich et al. 2009) and points to a preference of alkyl side-chains (e.g. benzylic carbon) over aromatic rings in peroxygenation reactions.
The results showed that the oxide film thickness and oxidation rate at 1000°C are considerably higher than at 800°C.
However, electrolytic reactions always accompany electrophoresis operating at voltages considerably higher than the redox potential of water, anodic oxidation generating oxygen gas and protons and cathodic reduction generating hydrogen gas and hydroxide ions.
For Mn/Ce + CB mixtures the Mn2+ content considerably increases consequently to tight milled treatment indicating the reduction of some manganese species with higher oxidation states into Mn2+ ions.
Comparing their methanol oxidation abilities, it is found that the Pt Ru nanoclusters supported by the CNx NTs carbon cloth composite electrode have considerably higher electrocatalytic activity than the carbon cloth counterpart.
