At a protein level, 65.9% of all Ca. L. asiaticus proteins exhibit greater than 80% coverage by the confident structure templates and predicted disordered regions.
Phyre2 returns confident structure predictions for 31 of the 150 proteins, e.g. for putative beta expansions 1a (FGSG_11496, FGSG_11496) or a putative cellulose 1,4-beta-cellobiosidase fold (FGSG_07728).
Phyre2 returns confident structure predictions for 22 of the 110 proteins, e.g. a putative cellulose 1,4-beta-cellobiosidase fold (FGSG_02999) or a putative pectin lyase-like fold (FGSG_13834).
Similarly, 220 of the 451 tRNA candidates found by tRNAscan-SE but missed by high confident structure homology search were also found in the tRNA Rfam family in the complete Infernal scan.
The confident structure templates identified by MESSA (HHsearch probability above 90%, PSI-BLAST or RPS-BLAST e-value below 0.005) and verified manually cover 74.3% of all residues in the Ca. L. asiaticus proteome.
The high number of loci found by sequence similarity alone (red area in the figure) are primarily miRNAs found by similarity to miRNAs in miRBase, but miRNA families were excluded from the high confident structure similarity search.

We found a total of 3,391 homology based high confident structured RNA loci and structural RNA elements after moving 12 tRNAs and 15 miRNAs to the medium confident annotation (Table 2).
