Since Farrow proposed an effective structure for implementing variable digital filter [6], several works concerning VFD filter design have been presented, including an excellent tutorial paper by Laakso, and so forth [7], FIR-based design [8 11], IIR-based design [12, 13] and allpass-based design [14 24] with their respective feature.
Therefore, literature concerning differentiator filters in the digital signal processing area is investigated and several digital filters, known and modified, are analyzed and compared with the cwts in the presence of Gaussian noise.
Concerning this filtering criterion, we also kept the probes if there were two or more regions in the assembly that had a perfect hit from a block of at least half of the probes from a CNVR, since it was evident that these probes queried a putative segmental duplication.
