In 2012, Korbet [ 32], in his editorial on a publication of 22 years experience of Norwegian PRB [ 17], showed a concern of declining trend of kidney biopsy by nephrologists across the world.
They are used in the monitoring programmes of Regional Seas Conventions and more recently in the MSFD to identify the impact from substances or combinations of substances not previously identified to be of concern, study trends and identify regions of decreased environmental quality [15].
