"We've done our best to address their concerns in this bill," he told HuffPost, adding that measures would be taken to ensure oversight of what information was being shared, should the bill become law.
"The provider community, as a whole, plays a critical role," his veto message said, "and many of their concerns reflected in this bill are legitimate".
But it is clear now that we will not achieve those goals if we cannot figure out a way to address the concerns around abortion in this bill.
