By contrast, the larger COS7 cells adhered to areas containing lower concentrations of PLL, avoiding the intervening high concentration lines.
When plotted on the ternary phase diagram, the D̃Ni,γAlAl and D̃Ni,γAlTi contours lie approximately parallel to the Al iso-concentration lines whereas the D̃Ni,γTiTi and D̃Ni,γTiAl contours follow the iso-concentration lines for Ti.
The difficulty lies in the fact that characteristics and iso-concentration lines, unlike the conventional Kynch model for cylindrical vessels, do not coincide, and one has to resort to numerical methods to simulate the thickening process.
