By increasing the concentration, this gap widens, and the second gap, corresponding to the absorption shoulder, appears.
These results indicate that the sustained Rho activation is dependent on the concentration of GAPs, and a lower GAP concentration sustains Rho activation.
However, at all of the tested GEF concentrations, as the GAP concentrations became smaller, Rho activation was sustained to a higher degree, and increasing GAP concentration negated this sustained Rho activation.

The concentration of GAP-43 at the cytoplasm was determined by measuring the average gray value (integrated gray value/number of pixels of the ROI) of GAP-43 in a small region of interest located in the cytoplasm.
To pursue this direction, determining the effective and tolerable concentrations of gap junction inhibitors is an important next step, because gap junctions function ubiquitously in many organs and tissues to regulate physiological functions.
For instance, heart function depends on cell metabolism, electrophysiology, and mechanics; ion channels, ion concentrations, and gap junction distribution; material and electrical properties of cardiac tissue and the anatomical organization of this tissue in fibers and sheets; and material properties and organization of the heart's vascular tree and their relation to cardiac perfusion.
Since double-stranded DNA is present at much higher concentrations than gapped DNA in vivo, a mechanism of double-stranded DNA discrimination is required.
The approach to developing these datasets described here, relying on existing environmental data sources, data in natural history collections, and in-country expertise to identify endemic species distributions, concentrations and gaps in protection across national borders is applicable to many regions of the world where survey efforts are incomplete.
