Using small volumes of peripheral blood, our assays comprised of measurement of MtDNA content, and mRNA content of various mitochondrial-encoded and nuclear-encoded mRNAs including genes encoding various mitochondrial subunits, involved in biogenesis, fusion, fission and mitophagy.
