The composite relationships were investigated using polynomial regression and the best-fit models are presented in Fig. 4.
It can be also observed that binge drinking and perceived intoxication occurred jointly (14%), supporting the idea of identifying and using patterns of drinking – resulting in composite relationships – rather than evaluating alcohol habits using a single indicator or by type/quantity of beverage consumed.
