The positive predictive values and likelihood ratios for a positive test (LR+) for the separate characteristics (Table 4) increased in the composite model (Table 5).
Model-based abundance estimates for all three species were remarkably similar to design-based estimates (Tables 6 & 7), and composite models were used to generate density surfaces for all three species (Figure 4).
The independent effects of MAGE on both the cognition composite and MMSE scores were tested in three different multiple linear regression models (Table 2) having, respectively, age, sex, BMI, WHR, drug intake, physical activity, and MAGE (model 1), model 1 + systolic and diastolic blood pressure (model 2), and model 1+ model 2 + A1C, fasting and postprandial glucose (model 3) as covariates.

The best composite models with multiple covariates were also used to produce density surfaces (Figure 4) and estimate abundance (per management unit and globally) for each of the three species (Tables 6 and 7).
In the fully adjusted models (Table 3, model 7), there remained some evidence of an association with CKD defined using eGFRcys (OR, 1.88; 95% CI, 0.99-3.58) or the composite measure (OR, 1.39; 95% CI, 0.94-2.04).
Ranking the composite models revealed only one model that reached the maximum (four element) complexity.
