Thus, it appears that there are at least two components of degradation in the TOJ – the temporal component that is evident in the change in TDT exclusively on the digit tips and what could be speculated as a spatial component as evidenced by the change in TOJ under different stimulus conditions on both the digit tips and hand dorsum.
We employed library screening and PCR amplification to clone and identify full-length sequences for Eurydice pulchra period (Epper), timeless (Eptim), Clock (EpClk), bmal1 (Epbmal1), cryptochrome2 (Epcry2), 6-4 photolyand, and Ck1 (EpCK1ε) alongside partial sequences for other clock-relevant kinases, phosphatases, and components of degradation pathways.
We analysed the activity of both enzymes using p-NP-butyrate in the buffer supplemented at different concentrations with 1,2-propanediol, isopropanol, ethanol, methanol, acetonitrile, and dibutyl phosphate, the main component of degradation products of tributyl phosphate (TBP), the extractant used in the nuclear fuel reprocessing known as the PUREX process (Table 5).
