Large (>1.8 cm) PSA sac with short (<3 mm) and/or wide (>3 mm) tract has higher complication ratio such as thromboembolic events after UGTI.
A similar complication ratio of 3%% was observed in another short-term study with a mean follow-up of 12 months [13].
The overall complication ratio was established as 7.4%.
Relationships such as that between the hospital complication ratio and the episode payment 28 may also affect the volume-cost relationship.
Although in previous studies hallux varus complication ratios of 2/39 [5], 6/72 [8], 3/39 [17], and 13/109 [23] were reported, we saw only one in 36 cases.

The age at index TKA and fracture fixation was a significant risk factor for complications (odds ratio = 1.150, 95%% CI 1.01 1.30; odds ratio = 1.195, 95%% CI 1.02 1.39).
Multivariate logistic regression analysis in the overall population (Table 3) showed that age and being female were associated with an increased risk of severe complications (odds ratio 1.0, 95% CI, 1.00 to 1.04; odds ratio for male sex 0.4, 95% CI 0.2 to 0.8), as was diabetes mellitus (odds ratio 8.50, 95% CI, 2.6 to 27.9).
Compared with crystalloid administration, hydroxyethyl starch was not associated with increased odds of thromboembolic complications (odds ratio 0.89 (0.76 to 1.05)) whereas albumin was (odds ratio 1.47 (1.16 to 1.87)).
Higher number of lymph nodes dissected seems to protect against developing any long-term complications (odds ratio 0.92, 95% CI 0.84 1.00) and younger age was a risk factor (odds ratio 0.94, 95% CI 0.92 0.97; Table 5).
