As was discussed in the formation and development of BREXIT section, BREXIT is a lexeme formed by a blend of 'British' and 'exit', which makes it a complex lexeme as it carries a phrasal meaning, i.e. Classifier + Thing in experiential terms or modifier + head in logical terms (see Fontaine 2017b), and so it is effectively a condensed noun phrase.
