DNA damage tolerance (DDT) mechanisms are crucial to promote replication completion by mediating fork restart and filling of DNA gaps (Lopes et al, 2006; Branzei et al, 2008; Daigaku et al, 2010; Karras & Jentsch, 2010; Minca & Kowalski, 2010).
