School nurses/health support workers (for ease of reading hereafter referred to as 'school nurses') in Bradford have all been trained in completing height and weight measurements for the NCMP by the Child Growth Foundation and receive yearly measurement training updates.
Participants then completed weight, height, waist/hip circumferences, and blood pressure measures (millimeters of mercury [mmHg]).
Informed consent was taken, questionnaire measures of diet and psychosocial variables were completed, and height and weight were measured.
The 30 sec-Chair-Stand-test (30s-CST) measures the number of "stands" completed (seat height 44 cm, with armrests) within 30 seconds [ 46].
Following the interview, a short questionnaire was used to determine age, country of birth, marital status, household situation, employment status, highest completed education, height and weight.
Prior to DXA scans, all participants signed informed consent, answered a questionnaire about demographic and reproductive factors (including age at menarche), and completed duplicate height and weight measurements (triplicate, if two measures were outside of acceptable repeatability).
With healing, partial (Fig. 7) or almost complete height restitution of the involved vertebra may be seen [3, 9].
There is a disruption of the exocrine function in subjects with smaller testicular size who failed to show a complete height catch-up growth.
Complete height, weight, and age measures were collected for 1351 children.
In total, 5,683 patients from four phase III trials with complete height and weight data were analyzed in the pooled data.
