Clearly, the preliminary step of clustering genes into target modules was necessary here to infer the complete Hap4 regulated module.
The moral is that perceptions can function as teleological explananda, which is reminiscient of Aristotle's account of final causation, where natural processes are completed and regulated by a final state or end, towards which they tend.
