Several of the identified subprofiles were comparable to profiles identified in previous studies [ 17], showing various asymmetrical shapes around TSSs. Canonical average profiles for several of the chromatin marks were also visible, for example H3K79me2 and H4K20me1 had several subprofiles with reduced signal upstream of TSSs and gradually increased signal in the transcript direction.
