It's a common problem among online local business entrepreneurs: you have clients all around the city, and trying to manage the various appointments by hand can be a headache -- not to mention the all-too-common miscommunication when you and your client think that you'll be meeting at different times.
Still, miscommunication is common, and I often resort to pantomime, which is often more fun than mangling "Where's the toilet?" in a foreign language.
But in truth this is a common story, one of miscommunication, distant promises, and misunderstandings.
The most common factor identified is miscommunication between the patient-clinician.
Previous studies confirm that patients desire antibiotics less frequently than providers perceive and that inappropriate prescribing is a common result of this miscommunication (21, 36, 37 ).
Given that each caregiver has a unique perspective and professional culture and that clinical disciplines train separately, it is understandable why miscommunication is common and a major contributor of medical errors [ 3- 6].
You want mutual understanding and no miscommunication.
Unfortunately, miscommunication between patients and doctors is common [ 22, 23]; this is particularly true for OAB patients [ 24], and patients with OAB are commonly dissatisfied with the care they receive [ 23].
Inadequate care occurred more often among the foreign-born (p = 0.04), whereas delays in consultation/referral and miscommunication between health care providers where equally common between the two groups.
Time is vulnerable to the same common pitfalls that sabotage any rocky relationship -- lies, diversions, miscommunication, avoidance, and just plain "checking out".
Miscommunication during transfer of care for hospitalized patients is common and can result in adverse events [ 2- 7].
