Rural versus urban living had no impact on usage, but partnered women (married or common-law) reported significantly lower usage rates, 14.7 % versus 21.4% (p < 0.001) among single women.

Women with a common-law partner reported higher levels of lifetime sexual assault than unpartnered or married women.
