To reduce common method bias, we included common control variables for our main dependent variables: age, gender, soccer preference, and personality.
To study this, we utilised the SES data and SOC HE 2000_GH to run Mincer-type wage regressions among graduates for log hourly pay on an overeducation dummy, and period dummy to capture both trends and any interaction with overeducation, and a set of common control variables (age, age squared, marital status, presence of dependent children, region, survey year, and sex for the pooled model).
The main contribution of this paper to the literature on condom use is the wide range of knowledge indicators that were analyzed, the use of less common control variables such as the willingness to get pregnant and risk perception, and the extensive multivariate analysis focusing on differences between males and females.
The sociodemographic factors of age, education, and gender, as well as religiosity and religious denomination were introduced as control variables, not only because they are generally common control variables, but because they have also frequently been associated with euthanasia attitudes (see above).

By identifying hydrologic relationships between watersheds through an initial regionalization of mean annual streamflow time-series data, hydrologic regimes, each composed of watersheds with common hydrologic controlling variables, were identified.
Furthermore, we find additional support for a causal interpretation of our results from our analysis of common trends, robustness to different control variables, different data subsets and different aggregation levels.
The control variables are common to the three equations.
The language is interpreted and provides all the common programming elements like flow control, variables, operator notations and a huge set of basic routines.
To overcome the extrapolation problem of linear regressions, we examine the robustness of our results when explicitly enforcing common support on all of the control variables discussed above, which were applicable to natives as well.21 Relying on this restricted 'comparable' subset, we obtain very similar results in terms of signs and significance, thus increasing our confidence in our findings.
The core strength of our study is that we used common empirical methods and sets of control variables to show that the evidence of social network effects can largely be eliminated after adjustment for environmental confounders.
In terms of effect sizes, the gaps are reasonable, varying from 0.12 for the male married-cohabiting gap to 0.47 for the male married-widowed gap. 4 Control variables show a common pattern: well-being is higher among highly educated, religious, and employed men and women, and it decreases with age, but this effect levels off over the life course.
