I had weathered my adolescence in supportive musical communities and did not want to sacrifice my commitment to music for professional success.
The duration of this Intervention reflects clinical practice with brief therapy, and represents a feasible time commitment for the health professional.
Day and Gu (2007) likewise use teachers' needs and professional commitment as points of reference for professional development (cf. Day and Gu 2007, p. 439), much like Coldwell (2017, p. 190) (cf. also Ross and Bruce 2007; Lakshmanan et al. 2011); other researchers, however, suggest student achievement and progress as units of measurement.
Job mobility also has a significant impact on the individual employee's situation, with regard to wages and career [ 1] work characteristics such as autonomy and task diversity [ 2] organizational commitment [ 3] and motivation for professional development [ 4].
Recent evidence shows that a therapist's decision to locate to, stay or leave a rural community is influenced by the availability of and access to practice supports, opportunities for professional growth, organisational commitment to supporting the practitioner and understanding the context of rural practice [ 17].
If that happens, there is a corresponding exemption from the commitment to professional confidentiality for the healthcare workers [ 14].
The literature about professions, which spans many decades, has consistently noted that the need for commitment to continued professional development [ 17- 20] is essential for ongoing learning.
