In sum, for management purposes, a subsidy program needs not only a system for generating descriptive statistics from data flowing in from eligibility determinations and subsidy payments, but should also collect ancillary data from sample surveys of workers and firms, to answer questions that go beyond simple descriptions of subsidies paid and their recipients.
The ACG Lepidoptera inventory is comprehensively collecting and cataloging ancillary data including: DNA barcodes, food plants, parasitoids, fine-scale geographic and ecosystem data, and adult and caterpillar morphology [ 8] (http://janzen.sas.upenn.edu).upenn.edu
In this study, we used a digital soil mapping (DSM) approach where remote and proximal sensed ancillary data collected across a farming district near Bourke, were numerical clustered (fuzzy k-means: FKM) to identify soil landscape units.
The project therefore concentrated on collecting a variety of dimensions of ancillary data - data that would not normally be collected due to practicality constraints.
To test the two hypotheses outlined above, the GRP module employs the extensive ancillary data sets developed from specimens of T. alpinus and T. speciosus collected in Yosemite (Fig. 1).
Wild caterpillars were collected from ACG, reared to adults, and added to the ongoing, comprehensive inventory of Lepidoptera, with ancillary data, including locality, food plant species, sex, and parasitoids [ 8, 21].
Ancillary data, such as ice thickness, crystalline structure and air bubble content, air temperature and hoarfrost water equivalent were collected to support the analysis and interpretation of the radar data.
