Data were collected on June 9th in season one (left panels), and on June 2nd in season two (right panels) from plants at all different positions in the experiment: individual plants (A – B ), and plants at the edges (C – D ) or at the centers (E – F ) of populations.
Dr. Barbara Thiers, the herbarium director, showed off some of the rarest specimens, including a fragile, tiny moss (Ulota darwinii) collected by Charles Darwin in Tierra del Fuego on the Voyage of the Beagle from 1831 to 1836, and a microscopic fungus collected on Dec. 12, 1900 by George Washington Carver.
The group 2 includes water samples which were collected on June, July, October, November and December.
In the second station (Oued Timgad), the group 1 includes water samples which were collected on June, January and February.
For the second group, which includes water samples collected on June, July and October, the mean value of electrical conductivity is 730 μS/cm.
The main odor composition of the gas samples collected on June 1st 2007 and the reduction of various odorous gases from the samples collected on June 1st 2009 due to the applied odor control techniques were determined using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
