Ultimate strength predictions are made using the von Mises' yield criterion applied to the membrane stresses as collapse criterion.
This research work focuses on developing seismic fragility curves for a collapse criterion based on hysteretic degradation.
For each structure, fragility curves were developed for a collapse criterion, where collapse is simulated explicitly through the degrading constitutive models.
For each sub-service a collapse criterion is defined, by which the strength is compared to the action load, both represented as random variables.
