As a result, traditional office spaces with permanent layouts dedicated to focused productivity tasks are giving way to modular layouts with components that can be mixed and matched to offer innumerable combinations of collaborative work experiences.
Ideally, collaborative work is a positive experience for everyone in the group -- the students with weaker physics backgrounds can learn from more advanced peers who have recently struggled with the same concepts, and the students who have stronger backgrounds find that the best way to solidify one's own understanding of the material is to explain it to others.
