"cold death" is a correct and usable phrase in written English.
It can be used to describe a death that is unfeeling, emotionless, and lacking in warmth or empathy. Example: The murderer's eyes were filled with cold death as he looked down at his victim's lifeless body. The phrase "cold death" can also be used metaphorically to describe something that has a chilling or devastating effect. Example: The sudden bankruptcy of the company was a cold death for many employees who lost their jobs and livelihood. Overall, "cold death" can be used in a variety of situations in literature, such as in descriptions of characters or events, to evoke a sense of dread and coldness.
