Various behaviors had a less consistent effect, including multiple partners, douching, frequency of coitus >3 times a week, and cunnilingus, fellatio, and anal intercourse at the last sexual encounter.
Notably, significantly lower drug was detected in CVL obtained following coitus (median (IQR) 14 (3, 27)) compared to CVL obtained in the absence of coitus (28 (22, 110) (p = 0.035; Table 1) and the antiviral activity correlated with the concentration of PRO 2000 (r = 0.48, p = 0.03 for both HIV and HSV-2).
Majority of the interns and nurses were aware of the correct time to start screening which is after first coitus (37%) but very few were aware that Pakistani guidelines recommends screening after 3 years (10%) and not yearly (52%).
Vaginal discharge was the commonest symptom experienced in this study in contrast to a study in rural Lebanon [ 28] where lower abdominal pain (41.1%), vaginal itching (38.5%) and painful coitus (40.7%) were the leading symptoms experienced.

Other, less consistent associations include maternal and paternal age [ 20, 22, 24, 25], parental education and race [ 24], frequency or timing of coitus [ 26], and certain infections [ 27- 29].
