Along the vertical parts of the line, above the UCPU and at the transition through the MS, solenoid coils (Figure 8, (1) and (3)) provided these fields.
Therefore, the recent alternative method of resonance-based power delivery [21, 40] is explained through the coupled-mode theory [41], which is less sensitive to changes of the coil distance and typically employs two pairs of coils: one in the external circuit called driver and primary coils, and the other in the implant itself called secondary and load coils (Figure 10).
By far the most predominant component is one that contains both minima, followed by two minor contributions from spectra that resemble random coils (Figure 2B).
We compared this configuration with the same bags hanging vertically (vertical, Figure 1b) and also to vertical bags that had additional growth surface areas by adding coiled silicone tubing (coiled spiral, Figure 1c), a PVC bottle brush (Silva-Aciares and Riquelme 2008), Figure 1d), or loops of silicone tubing (Figure 1e).
To obtain enhanced tensile actuation for all-solid-state electrochemical muscles, identical anode and cathode yarns in the muscles were coiled (Figure 3e and f).
