Global coherence is the fraction of variance at a given frequency across all EEG channels that is explained by the first eigenvector of the cross-spectral matrix.
Coherence expresses the fraction of power at a given frequency in either time series and is explained as a linear transformation of the other thus providing an index of a linear association between the two signals.
In between these two regimes, the feedback split depends upon the contribution of multiuser diversity gain, the importance of CSIT quality in the sum rate and the fraction of the coherence interval used for feedback.
