Individual items of C-AES were tested for association with whether patients were subjected to "objective coercive measures" by Spearman rank correlation.
C-AES scores between voluntarily admitted versus compulsorily admitted subjects, and those subjected to objective coercive measures versus those not, were compared by Mann-Whitney U test.
