With more than 250 Codex Members and Observers in attendance, the meeting will make progress on revising the Codex Code of Practice to Minimize and Contain Foodborne Antimicrobial Resistance as well as developing the Guidelines on Integrated Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance.

IDF actively participates in the Codex Alimentarius TF on AMR's revision of the Code of Practice to Minimize and Contain AMR and drafting Guidelines for the integrated monitoring and surveillance of foodborne AMR.
The largest number of such standards is contained in the Codex Alimentarius, a collection of food standards, codes of hygienic practice and other recommendations prepared by FAO and WHO through the Codex Alimentarius Commission.
In this respect, FAO has developed a draft Code of Practice for Safe Animal Feeding, and this will be further refined by the Codex Alimentarius in the coming year.
