BEST DISHES -- Baked pork chops, chopped meat with plantains, oxtail stew, roast pork, baked chicken, rice and beans, flan, coconut custard.
Recommended dishes -- Beef empanadas, tuna tartare, boudin noir, duckling breast, crusted sesame tuna, stuffed ravioli in pesto sauce, baby lamb chops, ostrich fillet, organic calf's liver, langoustine quesadilla, warm chocolate cake, coconut crème brûlée, flan, apple strudel.
WHAT WE LIKED Mussels in white wine, fried codfish cakes, feijoada completa, porco alentejano, bacalhau Solmar, camarão a baiana (shrimp in coconut-tomato sauce), flan, puff pastry with egg custard, chocolate mousse cake.
Then there's a dessert that comes in a tall parfait glass, filled with shaved ice, chopped fruit, red and white beans, coconut gelatin, sweet corn, flan, evaporated milk and who knows what else.
