Marine litter larger than 2 cm was identified with a progressive distance from the beginning of the transect according to the ROV's post-processed USBL position data.
Spatial heterogeneity in peat surface characteristics (0 34 cm) was identified by measuring total mercury in eight peat cores (57 ± 8 ng g−1, average ± SE), vascular plant coverage (32 52%), water table level (4.5 14.1 cm) and dissolved gaseous elemental mercury concentrations (28 51 pg L−1) in the peat water.
An unusually large shared haplotype (40 cM) was identified in three of the four families.
In addition, one high-slip concentration area with a peak of 53 cm was identified at the deep (~ 35 km) Hikurangi subduction interface (Fig. 6b), which is partially recovered by our model according to the resolution test (Additional file 1: Figure S4), mainly resulting from the poor spatial coverage of observations in the postseismic phase.
However, a fault trace with right-lateral offset of ca. 30 cm was identified here after the mainshock, as shown in Fig. 4e g Fig. 4 Snapshots of surface ruptures related to the largest foreshock and mainshock at each site shown in Fig. 1c and/or Fig. 2. a Mole-track structures and open cracks, which first appeared associated with the largest foreshock and later enlarged due to the mainshock.
A solid well circumscribed yellowish tumour, measuring 7×6×5 cm, was identified in the upper pole of kidney.
