In our current work we found a high inter-individual variability in the levels of TNFalpha, IL-6, IL-15 and IL-15Ralpha in SF of RA patients and were identified four principal clusters of cytokines concentration in SF, suggesting the importance of identifying disease subset of patients for personalized treatment.
As expected, a greater number of clusters of high concentrations of candidate mate choice genes occur on the X chromosome than on the autosomes (Fig. 2; Table S3).

Calculation of ICC confirmed this observation: we found significant clustering of CRP concentrations within districts (ICC = 2 %) but absence of within-district clustering of lymphocyte count (ICC = 0 %).
