The climate chosen was the climate recorded by a buoy off the north-east shore of Oahu/Hawaii, which was a typical moderate wave climate featuring an average annual wave power PW = 17 kWh/m of wave crest.
Previous studies have only evaluated the effects of respective forcing on continental-scale, NH-mean, or global-mean climate features (e.g., Phipps et al. 2013; Schurer et al. 2013, 2014; Otto-Bliesner et al. 2016).
