Here, we modify these biomacromolecules via structural and sequence engineering coupled with selective enzymatic digestion to generate an open-ended p-shRNA (op-shRNA) that is cleaved over ten times more efficiently to yield siRNA.
These linkages could be selectively cleaved over Ni/SiO2 to yield monomeric aromatic compounds, such as cycloalkanes and cyclohexanol, under moderate conditions (120 °C and 6 bar H2 in aqueous medium).
These results confirm the successful cleavage at the D-P bond, and most DAMP4var-pexiganan proteins could be cleaved over a period of 48 h as confirmed by RP-HPLC (Fig. 7b).
RNase H2 enzyme cleaved over 70% of the total substrate at 70°C.
In the context of the TALE fusion, relaxation of function of the linker may allow the nuclease domain to select an alternative top-strand nicking site (defined by a critical G), and thus substrates with a G in the first position of the spacer are preferentially cleaved over substrates with other bases at this position.
Analysis of cell supernatants and lysates by LC MS demonstrates that in the absence of SAHA 80% of HP-1 is cleaved over 24 h, forming a UV-active peak that we expect is DHP-1 bound to one or several cellular nucleophiles, although we have yet to specifically be able to identify these conjugates despite considerable effort.

The pH tolerance of Cj-RNase III and its capability to cleave over different temperatures, including 4°C could be indicative of a possible role of RNase III during the acid shock and temperature response of Campylobacter during the infection process.
While this type of straight tapered fiber is useful for coupling to a single off-chip device, such as a microsphere [37], it is difficult to use as probe of on-chip devices, although it can be done if the device is cleaved to hang over the edge of the chip [26] or isolated using a mesa [52].
sCR1, a soluble form of CR1, is a recombinant protein of CR1 in which the transmembrane domain at C-terminus was cleaved off and could be over-expressed in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells.
The first descriptions of ESBL genes involved point mutations of TEM- and SHV-type enzymes produced by clinical isolates, but the prevalence of CTX-M-type enzymes (which preferentially cleave cefotaxime over ceftazidime) has increased dramatically in the last two decades [ 17].
In contrast to the Och1 protein of S. cerevisiae AfOch1 harbors a signal sequence that is most likely cleaved off during transport over the ER membrane.
