'cleartext' is a correct and usable word in written English.
You can use it to refer to a piece of text that has not been encrypted or coded and is therefore easily readable. For example, "I sent the message in cleartext so that anyone who intercepted it could read it."
It also considers the queries that can uncover cleartext passwords.
