Oligonucleotides were removed from the PCR mix by PCR 96 cleanup plate (Millipore).
In order to remove unincorporated dNTPs and primers during the amplification reaction, the positive amplicons were purified through MultiScreen384PCR Cleanup plate (Millipore, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, Ireland).
Amplicons were detected on a 1.5% ethidium bromide agarose gel and purified by using a UniFilter Multiscreen PCR cleanup plate (Whatman, Brentford, UK) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
