In the present set of databases (GenoChore), emphasis is placed on retrieval of information centered on the gene as the central object, with exploration methods that query simple properties of the gene products (such as molecular mass or isoelectric point) in addition to more complex features such as the class of codon usage bias used in the gene [ 12].
