Levodopa-treated patients showed significantly higher IL-15 and RANTES circulating levels in comparison with healthy controls and higher, but not statistically significant levels, with respect to untreated patients [ 88].
Patients with transiently uncontrolled asthma and those with treatment-resistant disease had significantly elevated numbers of circulating fibrocytes in comparison with the other groups, while there were no statistically significant differences between the fibrocyte counts obtained in patients with controlled asthma and healthy individuals (Fig. 4).
Our study demonstrated that patients with RCVS had reduced circulating CD34+KDR+ EPCs in comparison with controls, especially in those with more severe vasoconstrictions (LI > 2) and those at risk of ischemic complications (LI > 3).
Current smoking was associated with lower circulating 25(OH D concentrations in comparison with never smoking, which is consistent with some (2, 6, 13) but not other (10, 11, 15, 48) studies.

Moreover, the relative expression of CXCR4 and CXCR7 also alters during macrophage differentiation in comparison with circulating monocytes as the expression of CXCR4 is reduced and that of CXCR7 is enhanced.
An increase in circulating monocytes in the OD group in comparison with the NID group was observed in the present study.
