To elicit a binocular rivalry transition, a gaussian enveloped (σ = 12.6 circular degrees) luminance contrast pulse of contrast 1 was projected in the carrier grating at the bottom of the stimulus.
This mark was placed at the top of the stimulus in experiment 1&3, and at varying locations (±90, ±45&0 circular degrees from the top of the stimulus) in experiment 2. Stimulus motion speed was varied in opposite directions for the carrier and mask gratings.
We have observed that the QD circular polarization degree depends on applied voltage and light intensity.
The circular polarization degree was calculated by the following equation: P = I σ + − I σ − / I σ + + I σ −.
The observed 2DEG-h emission presents a high circular polarization degree with abrupt energy discontinuities after the electron resonance.
Figure 3c presents the circular polarization degree obtained from the QW and 2DEG-h emissions under 15 T and 4 K.

Figure 5b shows the bias voltage dependence of the circular polarization degree for the QD emission under low and high laser intensities at 15T.
We have observed that the QD circular polarization degree is always negative and that its value depends on both the applied bias voltage and the light excitation intensity.
