All childcare knowledge is temporary and of its time.
The data available do not include possibly reliable predictors including measures of maternal childcare knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and values.
In the baseline (spring 2005) and follow-up (spring 2007) surveys, a household questionnaire included questions about vulnerability of the household and questions to mothers concerning their education, childcare knowledge, attitudes and practices.
In general, marital conflict was a stronger mediator than fathers' participation in childcare and mothers' knowledge of infant development.
Funding issues also restricted capacity to reduce barriers to access (i.e., transportation and childcare) and exchange knowledge with other organizations and service providers.
