To evaluate the photometry technical and analytical performance of a newly launched Mindray BS-2000M1 clinical chemistry system (BS-2000M1).
Fasting and 2 hour plasma glucose concentrations were measured within one hour using the glucose oxidase method on an autoanalyser ADVIA-16500 ChemiSystemystem, Bayer Corporation, Germany).
Total cholesterol, HDL, triglycerides, LDL and VLDL were measured by reflectance spectrophotometry (VITROS Chemistry System Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Raritan, NJ) using the manufacturer's reagents and protocols.
Thereafter it was replaced with an ADVIA®1800 Chemistry System (Siemens Healthcare).
Plasma CRP was measured on a Vitros 5.1 Fusion Chemistry System (Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Buckinghamshire, UK).
Urine albumin was measured by immunoturbidometry using Dimension Xpand Plus clinical chemistry system (Siemens).
Biochemical determinations: routine chemistries were measured using the Vitros® 4600 Chemistry System.
Liver function was determined by using the Advia 2400 Chemistry System (Siemens Health Care Diagnostics).
Thereafter it was replaced by the ADVIA®1800 Chemistry System (Siemens Healthcare).
Glucose will be quantified by a standard analytical procedure using the Vitros Chemistry System.
